In the summer of 2018 I had the opportunity to not only design for, but act in the debut of the Platte Valley Theatre Company. I was overjoyed to be back onstage as Gomez Addams in The Addams Family musical. Creating the poster for the show allowed me to bring two of my biggest passions together.
To create the Addams Family poster I traced and vectorized a gothic-esque building reminiscent of the Addams Family mansion. I created a halftone image of the moon and silhouetted a dying tree with an eerie branch reaching out into the body of the poster. The combined elements provide a creepy and kooky feel perfectly matching the subject material of the show.
